Delaware Valley AAMCO Dealers Helping Make Wishes Come True!

Known for over 50 years for their automotive expertise and their signature “Double-A Beep Beep M-C-O” advertising, the Delaware Valley AAMCO dealers are hardly known as “softies.” However, when it comes to kids with life-threatening illnesses, there is a BIG soft spot in the hearts of these “car guys.”

That’s why the Delaware Valley AAMCO Dealers Association (DVADA) helped sponsor the “Wish Worth Passing On” charity invitational and silent auction with all money raised going to the Philadelphia and Susquehanna Valley Make-a-Wish Chapter. The AAMCO Franchise Support Center and the DVADA’s advertising agency, Field Marketing Solutions, matched the DVADA’s contribution and in total nearly $10,000 was raised during the event on September 12^th!

PAYMENT PLAN THAT FIT!! Now, I do not know about any of you, but when repairs add up to over 2000 bucks, I just do not have that sort of funds. Bill and Robert worked with me to get a payment plan sorted out so I could have my car back and still eat for the month. These guys are the greatest individuals to have work on your vehicle. Period AAMCO Transmission in Millcreek is the very best!
VERY GOOD!!! I can’t say enough excellent about Robert along with the AAMCO Transmission shop in Millcreek-Bothell. He goes beyond all reasonable expectations to be certain his consumers are satisfied. I even had an incident with ine of his former employees that didn’t technically involve the shop and Robert went out of his way to try to help me resolve the problems….

Yeley lands sponsor for Daytona 500

The driver raced his way into the Daytona 500 through his qualifying race as he attempts to help build his organization. Now, he has secured sponsorship from AAMCO Transmissions and Total Car Care Centers for Sunday’s season-opening race.

Yeley is moving back into the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series full time. He suffered a career-threatening neck injury after crashing at a dirt track event at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kan., in 2009, but is back in the Cup ranks this year.

“Having a race car that is fully decaled for the Daytona 500 — our biggest race of the year — is a huge deal,” Yeley said. “We have to take every opportunity we can and maximize it so we can keep racing. This might mean we get to race at Phoenix.”

We had to let you know how very grateful we are for the outstanding service we received on our GMC Savana van from the Lawrenceville, GA store over the Christmas ans New Year holidays.

We’re also grateful that the manager, Scott Hoffman, and his employees made the extra effort for us after we limped into the Macon, GA AAMCO.

We found ourselves at the mercy of unknown businesses far from home and hopeful that we wouldn’t get ripped off too badly. In fact, we couldn’t have found anyone more qualified or caring if we had gone looking for assistance back home in New Hampshire. The standard of excellence for service is being proudly upheld at the Lawrenceville, GA AAMCO.

Brenda Preston & The value of the AAMCO Nationwide Lifetime Warranty

Brenda Preston bought her 1972 Jeep CJ in 1985 for $250 so that she could deliver mail in her hometown of Englewood, FL. It was a good price only made possible because the Jeep she was buying had a blown transmission. Since Brenda knew and trusted the local AAMCO, she decided she could take the Jeep to AAMCO, they could get it running and she would be in better shape than buying a more expensive used car.

She took the Jeep to Bob Walksler’s AAMCO in Venice. Bob checked out the Jeep, explained to Brenda that it needed a rebuilt transmission and agreed to rebuild the Flashomatic transmission. Her itemized invoice: Labor: $212; Kit: $252 with a Car Ownership Warranty; Bushings: $34; and Torque Converter: $115.50. With tax, the total bill was $670 and Brenda was instructed to return each year for an Annual Recheck to maintain her Car Ownership Warranty.

Brenda began her career with the US Postal Service in 1983 and used her Jeep to deliver the mail through rain and 100-plus degree days (sorry, no sleet and snow in Florida) six days a week from 1985 until April 1, 2010 when she retired from the Postal Service.

About 3 years after the rebuild, Walksler closed the doors on his AAMCO center yet despite the closing, Brenda was assured that her warranty would still be honored at any authorized AAMCO center. So in 1988 she began taking her Jeep to the AAMCO center in Port Charlotte for the Annual Recheck every September.

Through the years, Brenda would occasionally call ATI’s Customer Relations Department with requests for help. In 2004, Brenda experienced a problem with her Jeep and took it to the new AAMCO center that had reopened in Venice. The starter in her Jeep had gone out, taking out the flywheel and cracking the transmission case. Jackson Smith, the Venice franchisee at the time, agreed to absorb the labor to replace these parts and Brenda agreed to cover Smith’s cost for the parts to maintain warranty coverage. There were no subsequent problems with the AAMCO rebuilt transmission until the day Brenda retired.

With retirement, Brenda had no further use for her beloved CJ and sold it to an elderly lady who needed transportation for her pet poodles. The sale price was $1,500. Brenda made a point to tell her purchaser that the Car Ownership Warranty was not transferable, but if she ever needed any work done on the Jeep to be sure to take it back to AAMCO! After all, according to Brenda, AAMCO had stood behind her and her Jeep for a quarter century and enabled the mail to be delivered in Southern Florida for all that time!

Within the past few weeks, Brenda remembered that this was the time each year that she would take the Jeep in for its Annual Recheck. In order to make absolutely sure that there would be no confusion, Brenda took the time to mail to ATI every single repair and annual recheck invoice that she had kept for the past 25 years. She also included her original Warranty Booklet, a photo of her with the Jeep and even the original cancelled check along with a very gracious ‘thank you” to everyone at AAMCO who stood behind her for all of these years.

Bruce says: First check your gas because badly blended fuel could cause this. If that doesn’t work you most likely have a problem with your fuel filter or fuel pump. Your closest AAMCO center can diagnose and fix the problem for you!

Why would my 2003 Ford Taurus is surging when I put it into park and sometimes neutral?

Bruce says: The technicians at AAMCO find that when a Taurus is surging during neutral or after being put in park is because the Idle Air Control Valve (IAC) is sticking, there might be a problem with fuel delivery or your Ford might have a vacuum leak. Take your car to the experts of AAMCO, they will diagnose and fix the car from surging in neutral or park.
